Barnsley CC - Junior section

At Barnsley CC, everyone agrees that the most important part of the club are the Juniors. We take children of all ages, starting with our Mini hitters cricket sessions, which are all about the FUNdementals of the game. These sessions are £3 each and your child can come to either session, Tuesday (5-6) or Thursday (5-6) or take advantage of both weekly sessions, the choice is completely yours. Once our coaches identify that your child is ready to represent Barnsley CC at Under 9s level, they move up to our 'Introduction to cricket', which starts to learn the Juniors about different parts of the game, from running between the wickets and fielding positions to looking at how to grip the ball.  They will then receive a Junior playing shirt, and pay £80 membership for the year, which covers them for all training sessions, match day fees and insurance and site capitation fees!!!

From soft ball to hard ball cricket, these sessions on Wednesdays at 5:30pm to 7pm will look at how they wear the equipment properly and start to look at different shots and different types of bowling.

Your child's cricketing career is in the best hands possible and we hope you support us in making it an enjoyable educational and social learning experience that will stay with them forever.
